We are all unique and individual, and so are these classes.
Every student has different needs and therefore I tailor the classes accordingly. You may choose to follow a syllabus or to work in a way designed entirely for you. However we work, we will awaken your creativity and light up your performance.
I also run Holiday Drama Workshops and Play in a Week Summer Schools
Acting Classes
Acting is reacting and there are many things an actor needs to take into account before they are ready to simply relax and react. I will teach you ways to explore what the character’s situation is, how they are feeling and what they are trying to achieve. 1to1 acting classes can be hugely rewarding and a very safe container in which to explore and experiment. This is essential for any actor and will help set you on your path to finding your own method and approach.
The LAMDA syllabus is a great structure to follow but I also have plenty of clients who prefer to just train with me for their own development without an actual exam. I focus a lot on presence, truth and text as well as using improvisation techniques.
These acting classes are also fantastically useful if you are preparing for drama school auditions; that all important outside eye.

LAMDA Acting Examinations
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art was founded as a drama school in 1861 and started offering examinations to the public in the 1880’s. They have a reputation for excellence worldwide.
The LAMDA acting syllabus is hugely popular. I also teach Verse & Prose and Speaking in Public.
The higher level exams; bronze, silver and gold are all accredited and count towards your UCAS Tariff. As I’m sure you can imagine, this can come in handy!
In LAMDA acting classes we will prepare pieces that suit you best and show off your talents and skills as a performer.
You can enter most of these as a solo performer, a duo or combined. Scripts can be from published plays, screenplays or adapted from a novel.
LAMDA Public Speaking exams
The syllabus for LAMDA Public Speaking is fantastic. Not only for speaking in public and getting used to text, but also for confidence and learning how to present yourself in all walks of life.
The syllabus is really quite broad. So whether reading poetry, writing and presenting political speeches, or working around a theme appeals; there is something for everyone. There are the following options;
